Dealership Sales Trainer

Main Purpose of Job:

The role encompasses not only introductory training for new dealers but also ongoing education and support to ensure that existing partners maintain a keen insight into products and best sales practices.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience in automotive dealership management systems or related training roles is advantageous.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a training or instructional role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations and automotive retail processes.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging training materials and using various training methodologies.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently to dealerships across South Africa.

Special Conditions:

  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00, with potential variations depending on operational needs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Strong understanding of automotive retail processes and dealership operations.

Principal Areas of Accountability:

  • Training Program Design and Implementation:
  • Develop and execute detailed product training plans to ensure seamless introduction of new products and services.
  • Knowledge and Skills Training:
  • Provide in-depth automotive product knowledge and sales skill instruction to the sales team.
  • Training Materials Development:
  • Create high-quality training materials, such as product manuals and presentations.
  • Training Effectiveness Evaluation and Optimization:
  • Regularly evaluate and improve the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Ongoing Support and Certification:
  • Provide ongoing training support to dealer staff and maintain certification programs.
  • Feedback Mechanism:
  • Establish an effective feedback mechanism to continuously optimize training content and methods.
