HAVAL Celebrates Its First Birthday In SA With A Tip-Top H6 C Offer

It has been a year. One short year since Haval - the luxury SUV sub-brand of GWM - officially launched onto the South African market.

And what a year.

From almost the moment the Haval H2 was rolled out to media at Kyalami Racetrack, it proved a hit with the automotive press and customers alike. Which is why the brand is launching a "Haval Month" during this May and June, more of which in a second.

Now swathes of positive press reviews followed the H2's unveiling, and all this positivity is probably not that surprising given that in its homemarket of China, Haval sells over one-million units per annum. An almost incomprehensible number, and a number that is set to grow as the marque spreads its wings on global markets,

More than that, Haval comprehensively rewrote and reinvented everything the local consumer might have hitherto believed about Chinese vehicles - on all fronts from safety to styling to fit and finish to ride and refinement.

Indeed, here was a machine that didn't deserve that faintly damning praise of "good for a Chinese car." Rather, it was good by world-class standards.

Meanwhile, the next Haval to hit our market - the sleek, slick H6 C - received arguably even more of a rapturous welcome than the H2.

And the brand's local success can be gauged by the fact that in Mzansi there are already 23 accredited Haval dealerships, with this number expected to soar to 35 by the end of 2018.
